So, the college semester is over. High fives all around!
It was a very...influential semester. I learned a great many new things related to art, as well as history within the arts. Lots of life experiences as well...those seem to be happening a lot lately.
A great way to end my second year in university.
Now...two down, three or so more to go! Woohoo!

Not much has been happening within my private life. I suppose I could supply the reasoning behind this. It has been a couple of tremulous weeks before school ended.
The balancing act of school and work may have gotten to myself so much that I neglected everyone around me. Every day it seemed I couldn't see anyone, or for that matter no one wanted to see me. But, I got over that feeling very quickly for that damned 17 page paper I wrote for Modernism....bleck.

I also have the esteemed pleasure of working at Shell, which let me tell you I could rant about for a good long while...I'd rather not though. It can be exhausting enough when you work at a gas station, but to have it stick to your ribs when you leave so your left bitching about it a couple of days later leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
People are stupid. Srsly....stupid. To quote Erica: "80% of me solving the customers problems these days is saying pick up the yellow hand and not the red one."
That is unadulterated joy ladies and gents. Pure stupidity. I already knew that the human race has suffered its set backs...but maybe these customers would do us a favor and accidentally remove themselves from the gene pool.

Behold. Here is a list of the insanity that is my 5 courses.

- Finish a 3,500 word essay/term project on the Impressionist movement for Modernism
- Finish second half of project for Sculpture
- Finish painting series for Wed April 2nd Painting/Drawing Critique
- Etch zinc plate for Monday March 31st Print media
- Write an artist statement for projects in Painting and Drawing, ~~Print Media~~, and Sculpture
- Write a 500 word essay on sculpture stuff I don't really care about
- Finish up remaining 4 Popular Culture Journal Entries
- Write exhibition report for Pop Culture Gallery show

Wish me a good dose of luck, perhaps an energy drink or two.

A slight updatey type thing

Jeez, I sure haven't been posting at all on here.
Why you ask my fellow reader? Well...let me just say, I have a fuckload of work to accomplish, and only two more weeks to do it in!

So a quick update, for those who are need of a little "haley-indulgence"

I now am an employee of Shell. Yes, thats right, I sell gas. Don't make any cracks *snickers* about it anymore than I have. Because, I certainly have made...many...already. Erica also works at shell with me. I have worked with her a couple of times, as well as a good majority of my other coworkers. As well as working alone, which seems to bring me back to the good ole days of opening at subway, when everything was good and quiet (to some extent...).

Like I said before, school is only a couple of weeks away to being completed. That means that I will be graduating from the Visual Arts Diploma, and starting on a Bachelor of Fine Arts. *Waves Big huge go me flag* Go me! Three more years of...Academics...yay *waves smaller, this blows chunks flag*

Bradley has finally it the bucket. Poor guy. Oh if you didn't already know, this was my car. He served me well, and I was glad to have him apart of me, if only for a little while. I suppose I should save up to buy a car now, or something :/ But, I shall have to see what I can do for now!

FINALLY got my Terry Pratchett in the mail.
Bloody hell, it took Amazon 3 FUCKING MONTHS to ship the darn things...Cherie, they better be worth it....

It is Bloody brilliant!!

These past two years have been...very...memorable to say the least. I've learned a lot. Met many new people and forged stronger bonds that before. Wouldn't trade the experience for anything at all!

These past couple of weeks...have been interesting. It feels as though I have evolved into a new sort of being.
My classes have been spectacular...my job search has been fruitless. My vehicle, currently dead. My love life as well. Perhaps that will change sometime in future, but, who knows right? Why really care about that sort of thing, when so many adventures await around the corner? A need to explore myself and the outside world is building within me.
I think when I am done school, I will go back to Europe.....that's my travel goal. If not Europe..then Asia, or Africa, or South America....You know what...why not a trip around the world? *laughs*
If you put your mind to it, you can do anything.

Wow, this is really...starting to annoy me a titch.

I've been here in my house for the past two days...because of the freaking snow....
*is going insane*
Not to mention, I'm stuck with my brother.
Ah, damn it, he can get pretty annoying...

But besides this current insanity...
So much more has been going down in my life at the moment. Some little tidbits include:
- Having the oppourtunity to get my car looked at and perhaps fixed for free ^__^
- Working on awesome art projects, and finding a sewing niche like making cute little creatures out of felt.
- Exploring options life has to offer in the career department...I think a nice User Interface Artist job would be awesome as a stepping stone towards becoming a kick ass Illustrator.

Well, thats mostly it for updates at the moment...

Hey everyone.
Just posting here quickly to let you guys know that school is going really great so far. I have all my project ideas set in motion, and everything with school life seems to be just puttering along nicely.
In my painting/drawing class we've been drawing from nude models, which have been a really spectacular help with everything to do with the figure. so far it's only been a male model, but heres hoping for a female next class!!
Oh and I have 3 gallery openings this semester!
Print Media - Sometime in January....kinda forget, its at the end of the month
Sculpture - Feb 14th - 12pm....as to not disturb anyones valentines day plans....at this point, I have none, so this is my plan for the day! ahaha!
Pop Culture - Mar17th

Can't wait to show the world my art!!! I hope whoever reads mah journal here can attend, it will be lots of fun ^____^

Already, I have TONS of stuff to accomplish. And I feel like I can't at all. I know that I have the capacity too, but I can't think straight it seems. Sure, I have ideas for all of my projects, but honestly, its going to be awhile before I stop thinking about Gordon
.
So, I've gone through all of my 5 classes already since yesterday and today. What a load of things to do this semester. At least in my studio classes the majority of them has a min of 2 projects and a max of 3. But, this also means I need to step up my game.

There is something to be said about being an art student. Sure, we don't have hours upon hours of academic homework (besides the hours and hours of Art History readings...blegh) to deal with...but the strain of having a time limit to CREATE art is the hardest part at the moment. So don't think art students "have it made" when it comes to university courses....its a lot of hard work and dedication for something that you love and enjoy!

On the S.C.A. side of my life, 12th night is on the weekend, and I will be attending that in some new digs. I'll be making a particolour cotehardie with perhaps tippets on the elbows. Man, I can't wait to start sewing tonight!

...then to never have loved at all.
Yesterday my long term relationship ended. Yes, I cried...and yes I will continue to do so for a little while.
Looking back on everything that happened last year, it was by far the best year of my life.
I couldn't have been more happier with him.
He made me a better person, and showed me what love really is....how love matters.
I still love him, but it was inevitable that we not be together any longer. We both have things we need to deal with...but in the long run this is for the better. I don't know if I could have spent my life with him. I guess I won't know at this point and juncture. But from what I can tell, it was really fucking amazing while it lasted.

I don't know if I can love anyone else right now or anytime soon. All I know is that I have the love of my friends and family to keep me going.
And, the love of him. I know that he still loves me, but, its just better this way.

I love you gordon, and always will.

But, besides my current pain and heartache..

Christmas was pretty great. I got to spend it with my family and with friends. I have 4 christmases!! Like, wow right??? My seasonal job was also pretty great, made some nice cash there! I'm glad that I was able to make some money to put towards college.

Yesterday I dropped off some resumes, and I think this week I shall do that same again...hopefully! I got some pleasant responses...but its hard to hire for something only in the new year....maybe I will get a phone call? I don't know.

I just got my last grade in from the schooling this semester.
Painting and Drawing: A-
Print Media: B
Sculpture: B-
Pop Culture: B-

Holy crap. I rock my world, honestly. I really did my best this semester, especially in Sculpture....that is the really first good grade that I've gotten in that course.
I am very impressed with myself this second year as well.
I think I am getting it now. Yeah, ok, it took me a year to finally realize this, but honestly....its really starting to sink in.

Heres to another two or three years of university! Bachelor of Fine Arts, here I come!!!!

Severe updates needed here folks....sorry bear with me.
I haven't talked for awhile here, and I think it is needed.

Bard and a Banquet went over very well. Surprisingly well, as I was the autocrat and played 5 seperate people in the play. Note for next year...find a co-autocrat!! Johanna had agreed that I could co-autocrat with her for "The 13th Einar."
Oh...yes, and I am co-autocratting Winter's Tounrey with Danika, and being a "go-to-person-for-help" for Lionsdale Champions....huh. I think I have caught the autocratting bug.
Damn you universe!
Also, must make new garb before 12th night. I will be doing the whole, look at me, I'm a japanese kuge! ho-damn it will be awesome!

Moving away from the SCA for a minute, lets talk about school. Now, it is almost over...I just have to finish my final essay (which is on The Simpsons!!), go to two classes for critiques on wednesday, and pick up my art on friday. All in all, it shouldn't be a hard week.

Ah yes, and I am also working now as well. I sell art, ceramics, stuffed animals....etc, at the cottonwood mall in the wack. I am working for the holidays for now, maybe I can convince my boss that he should keep me on for part-time work while I go to school.....*evil laughter*

Hmmm.....let me see what else at the moment....ummm...
Ohhhh yes, Gordon. Well, I still love him of course!

Okay, so... a lot has been happening lately. Mainly school its taking over everything. I have a total of 4 more projects that need to get started (two of the projects are seperate paintings!! *faints*) and many other things to do too!
Oh....Bard and a Banquet is getting ever closer. Its weird how just at the beginning of the year, I was told that I would be autocratting it! And now...look where I am!
- I'm dating a fantastic (well most of the time *winks*) man who loves me.
- I am autocratting the event in a month
- I will be playing four seperate people in the play (the fourth player, a messenger, the second grave digger, and Prince Fortinbras)
- Deciding on finishing my visual arts diploma and then continuing my studies for a Bachelor in Fine Arts! Wow!

Well...thats it I guess. Really it isn't so much just looking at it. But when you really have to get all of these things done, it gets pretty stressful.

Meh, thats life.

This evening I will be going to dance practice in my costume! And tomorrow, is halloween. I plan on spending time with people, and just generally hanging out, enjoying life.

Murder and mystery is afoot in our fair shire! Join us as the Press Ganged Theatre Companie presents William Shakespeare's most famous work 'Hamlet' on November 24th, AS 42. With the tradition of Bard and a Banquet, a sumptuous feast will be prepared by Holly House. The event doors open at 3:30pm, and the play will begin at 4:30pm. After the Third Act, dinner shall be served. Please bring your appropriate feast gear. Alcoholic and non-alcohol beverages will be available for a nominal fee – proceeds will be donated where they will do the most good. Due to the nature of the play’s content, it is advised that guests be 13 or older.

The menu is as follows (may change before event):
- Breads
- Cheeses
- Pickles
- Soup
- Vegetables
- Beet salad
- Salmon
- Scandinavian Meatballs
- Meat Course (oh it will be delicious!)
- Gjetost (cheese) with sliced apples

I guess I should update for all you peoples that skim through your friends list, and read my posts about what is going on with my life.
So....here goes!

College: It has been quite swell. Lots of projects have been due, and I really think that I am doing a terrific job on all of them, etc. Only have 4 classes is wonderful, especially the classes that you like. Except for sculpture. No one should have to put up with Don's shit. But, I really have to point out that I am loving my pop culture class. A lot! It really is quite fun. Three hours just really seems to fly by when Phil is talking about the 20th century. He is really a very interesting prof.

Work: Not available at the moment. Call back later. I do have a job lined up when I am not in school though. Which will be keeping me busy I am sure. Which is, really a good thing ^______^

Gordon: ... is still Gordon. Loves for you hun!

S C A: This past week I didn't go to the practices at all, since I got sick at the event on the weekend. ( I am still sick T______T ) Bard and a Banquet seems to be going ok. I haven't really talked with Luther for awhile, I think I shall email him about the happenings and such. I made the site copy for the event (finally) and have a sort of worked out menu on the go. Which really does the trick ^_______^

Wow....thats really all there is in my life right now?

I suppose I could regale you all in my latest encounter....with KATERYN! Yes! I noticed that she was on the Lionsdale Forums, and I then messaged her on Yahoo Messenger...and we must have talked for almost and hour! Good times. I was talking with some of her friends that she was helping study. Her name is Yuka, she seemed very nice! Anna is right, japanese girls do giggle.... a lot.
We talked about what we were up to, what has been going on. I really miss her, hearing her voice was really cool : D I basically haven't really communicated with her since she left!! Well....there was one email....but it was only one!
Jeez anna.....jeez.

Anyways, before my eyeballs start to crust over, or bleed....or perhaps a medley of both: I shall depart.
It was great to talk with you anna. If I don't go to the anna talking party (which is weird that I didn't get informed about that...oh well....there was a party here tonight man!) I talked to anna already, and thats the best thing that happened to me today!

The first week of school was quite enjoyable. I LOVE all of my classes.
On Monday Jenaya and I went to Opus in Langley, for a quick art supply spurge. I got around 7 items for around $20.50. Wow, right? I mean, the most expensive thing that I bought was a 18 x 36 stretched canvas. Really a great size for my proposed painting and drawing project.
What else could I talk about here...ummmm....
I applied for a Print Media studio work study assistant....I wonder if I will get the job? Its only 10 hours a week, and what I would be able to do is work all through the week, and then have the weekends off! Perfect right?! I am hoping that I kind of get this, because it would be a lot more efficient for me to just stay there some days and help the other print media students.

Now, don't get me wrong, I would have loved to have applied for the painting and drawing work study, but I guess it has already been snatched up by someone!!

Oh wells.

In S.C.A. news, the play is coming along great me thinks. I am pretty far in site token making, which is good....because I'm making A LOT!

Oh yes, if you want to get a ticket from me, it is 12 dollars, and NMS (non-member surcharge) WILL BE COLLECTED AT THE DOOR. The play opens at 3:30pm and starts a 4:30pm. I've finally finished American Gods by Neil Gaiman.....
finally! now I can give it back to teh bess!

I found it very interesting. Very dark, sometimes funny. It really follows the imagination to no bounds, I very much enjoyed it.

I always find it so fulfilling when I finish a book. Its like I can complete apart of myself, you know? I am transported to somewhere else. I love it so much.

I've been quarentined.
Well, not to say that I have been, but Gordon is. His is sick with bronchitis. Poor guy. All I would love to do is give him a big hug. Haven't seen him since Sunday. I feel like I'm going insane.

Also, people read this craziness that I write here on my journal...? Huh...weird.

Well currently I am very excited for college to start up again. Something more to do with my time, than to just sit around on my ass. Not that that is not fun or anything, I would just love to get back into a routine me thinks. I am taking Popular Culture 1, as well as painting and drawing, sculpture and print media again. I've bitched so much about new media, that I dropped that class. I don't have to take 4 studio courses to get my diploma, so thats a plus if I ever heard one!!!

Sitting infront of the computer is kinda of boring me now. So I am going to perhaps go and sleep on my hammock. Cheerio!

Bah. I've lost my voice, and its not very much fun. Gordon has Bronchitis. Damn, that sucks.
Oh well, such is life.
At least I don't have to go to work today, since I'm not feeling so well at all. I wouldn't be able to survive working there today.
Oh speaking of which....I quit. Yep, I quit.
And, I have an interview at decades tomorrow. Yeah, the coffee shop place.
I hope it all goes well, I have to remember that if I get it, I am serving the public, I haven't done that face to face for awhile!

Yesterday Luther, Marai, Sebastian and I day-tripped to Warren War. It was an interesting war, definatly. My comparison of day-tripping to camping seems to vary between events. I like to camp, of course, you get to stay up, campfires, etc. With day tripping, you only get to be there for the day, but the experience is still all the same.
Well anyways, yesterday was filled with watching rapier, shopping merchants row, and talking with the Baron and Baroness of Lions Gate. I did abit of waterbearing as well. Unfortunatly, I had a sore throat all day, so by the end of the day, I had suffered from a bit of heat stroke, a sore throat, aches and pains all over, and a severe migraine.
All in all, Saturday was a good day.

Oh yes, school is starting soon, next week! Gah, so close!
My first class on the tuesday, is Sculpture. The perfect way to come back to college....seeing Don. Bah!
I wonder what crazy concoctions he will come up with this semester....

We shall have to see.

Although I am extremely glad that I was able to take the summer semester off, I am yearning to get back to school.....get a new job....whatever right?
Man, I really would love to get that graphic design job....so much more money!!!

So what have I been up to?

Work..for the most part. It has been a good run at the restaurant, but I believe in change, and I think now is the time for it to happen.

Hanging around with friends and boyfriend....have been having a blast. Oh yeah, CLINTON! That was just so amazing, I wish I could go back. I miss the S.C.A. SO much, I just wish that I had a better job to be able to go to events on the weekends. You can't win all of em I guess!

Speaking of events, this past week has been a Bard and a Banquet rush for me. I have so far printed out all of the tickets, and some of them have already been on reserve. Tonight at practice (I am finally going! OMG!) I will be selling/reserving them as well.
I have the site tokens....somewhere....its either at my dads house (god I hope so) or at my mums.....all in a pile of stuff still needing to be unpacked. Sigh. I sure hope not. As for the site tokens, I just need to tie ribbon to the ends of them (they are little plastic daggers) with green and yellow ribbon. (lionsdale colours)

I have myself completely organized for B&B now. Thank goodness for that too, or else I would be hooped!!

I finally feel like everything seems to be going alright at the moment. I don't know what will happen in the future, but I am looking forward to it, definitely!

Hey peoples...
So I am thinking of having a house warming party, just for my close buddies...some of you are on LJ here...so I thought I would just post to get some ideas or something....

Basically, I am moving this week, and I was thinking sometime in august, I would have this house warming party.
Seriously...this is the best house for hanging out, downstairs is SO nice, and if we wanted to hang out outside, lets just say...its a little piece of paradise ^___^

I am amused, happy, and feeling all squishie becuase of the ending.
It is so sad that two of my favorite characters had died. Makes me sad.

So I got myself a new layout here..mostly because I gots me a paid account. Wee ^__^

I talked to my boss about the craziness that is my job. Basically he said he will do what he can to make it so I can go to Clinton. Hells yeah.
I can't wait to go ^____^
Gordon is probably going up during the work week, so our sleeping stuff will be set up, etc. I just have to bring the garb, some foods perhaps, the camp kitchen and that is about it!!
I am really really really looking forward to clinton ^___^ *sigh*
